Neil Aresty, Esq.
Senior Vice President
Neil Aresty is an internationally recognized expert in the application of computer technology to the practice of law. A lawyer by training, he co-founded Legal Computer Solutions in 1992 with fellow attorney Harold Leach. In 1997 Neil led LCS's development and launch of Lextranet, a secure, Web-based litigation support and case management system now used in some of the largest litigation matters in the world.
During his 20-year career, Neil has advised federal, state and local government agencies, private law firms and corporate counsels on the strategic use of secure software in all phases of legal practice, including billing, data management, computer assisted legal research and courthouse automation. Published widely in industry journals, he is a founding member of legal user groups for the American Bar Association, the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Boston Computer Society. Prior to Merrill Lextranet, Neil practiced law in Boston, focusing on general, civil and criminal litigation.
He holds a B.A. degree in Philosophy and Social Policy from George Washington University and a J.D. from Antioch School of Law.
Harold Leach, Esq.

In 1992 Harold Leach retired as a partner of the Boston law firm Choate, Hall & Stewart, and co-founded Legal Computer Solutions, Inc., with Neil Aresty. The company's business focus was, and continues to be, the strategic application of information technology to the practice of law. Since LCS's 1997 launch of Lextranet, a web-based litigation support/case management solution, Harold has overseen the development and implementation of all new Merrill Lextranet products, most recently Lextranet Version 4, Workspace and Document Review.
An expert in software codes, assembly languages, and software and hardware business law, he has represented many early-stage companies and developers, including the creators of Visicalc, Lotus 1-2-3, Formworx and Harvard Total Project Manager. Active for many years in the MIT Enterprise Forum, he mentored a number of entrepreneurial companies and in 1995 helped organize the Council’s first Workshop on the Internet.
Harold holds an A.B., magna cum laude, from Harvard College, a J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School, and an LL.M. from Cambridge University.
